einige von euch werden es schon mitbekommen haben. Leider muss ich euch mitteilen, dass das AfricaTwin-Treffen 2024 in der Schweiz teilweise abgesagt ist.
Der Grund dafür liegt in der schlechten Resonanz und den wenigen Anmeldungen. Seit dem Frühjahr 2024 haben sich gerade mal 15 Personen angemeldet. Das Treffen in dem Rahmen durchzuführen, wie es eigentlich geplant war, ist leider finanziell zu kostspielig. Daher wird das Treffen nicht in seiner geplanten Form stattfinden. Was heißt nun teilweise? Nun ja... Wie bereits einige angekündigt haben, werden sie trotzdem an dem Wochenende vom 30.08. bis 01.09. auf dem Campingplatz Gerbe sein. Ziel ist es, dass wir einfach ein nettes Wochenende miteinander verbringen, ohne großes Programm und Organisation. Für Verpflegung muss jeweils selbst gesorgt werden (die Gastronomie des Campingplatzes ist sehr zu empfehlen) und auch muss selbstständig auf dem Campingplatz gebucht werden.
Ich werde dem Campingplatzbetreiber die bisherige Teilnehmerliste zukommen lassen, damit sicher genug Plätze reserviert sind.
Diejenigen, die schon bezahlt haben, möchte ich bitten, mir so schnell wie möglich eine E-Mail mit ihren Kontodaten zu senden, damit ich die überwiesenen Beträge zurückerstatten kann.
Es ist sehr schade, dass sich trotz so früher Kommunikation so wenige für das Treffen begeistern konnten, dennoch freue ich mich auf die nächsten Jahre und bin gespannt, wo das Treffen im Jahr 2025 stattfinden wird.

Some of you may have already heard. Unfortunately, I have to inform you that the Africa Twin Meeting 2024 in Switzerland is partially canceled.
The reason for this is the poor response and the few registrations. Since spring 2024, only 15 people have registered. Holding the meeting as originally planned is unfortunately too costly. Therefore, the meeting will not take place in its planned form. What does "partially" mean? Well... As some have already announced, they will still be at the Gerbe campsite on the weekend of 30.08. to 01.09. The goal is simply to spend a nice weekend together without a big program and organization. Each person must provide their own food (the campsite restaurant is highly recommended) and book their own campsite spot.
I will send the current participant list to the campsite operator to ensure enough spots are reserved.
Those who have already paid, please send me an email with your bank details as soon as possible so that I can refund the transferred amounts.
It is very unfortunate that so few people were enthusiastic about the meeting despite such early communication, but I am looking forward to the coming years and am curious where the meeting will take place in 2025.

alcuni di voi lo avranno già saputo. Purtroppo devo informarvi che l'incontro Africa Twin 2024 in Svizzera è parzialmente annullato.
Il motivo è la scarsa risposta e le poche iscrizioni. Dalla primavera 2024, si sono registrate solo 15 persone. Organizzare l'incontro come originariamente previsto è purtroppo troppo costoso. Pertanto, l'incontro non si svolgerà nella sua forma pianificata. Cosa significa "parzialmente"? Bene... Come già annunciato da alcuni, saranno comunque presenti al campeggio Gerbe nel fine settimana dal 30.08. al 01.09. L'obiettivo è semplicemente trascorrere un bel fine settimana insieme senza un grande programma e organizzazione. Ognuno deve provvedere al proprio cibo (il ristorante del campeggio è altamente raccomandato) e prenotare autonomamente il proprio posto al campeggio.
Invierò l'elenco dei partecipanti attuali al gestore del campeggio per assicurarmi che ci siano abbastanza posti riservati.
Coloro che hanno già pagato, per favore inviami un'email con i loro dati bancari il prima possibile in modo che io possa rimborsare gli importi trasferiti.
È molto sfortunato che così poche persone siano state entusiaste dell'incontro nonostante la comunicazione così precoce, ma non vedo l'ora che arrivino i prossimi anni e sono curioso di sapere dove si terrà l'incontro nel 2025.
